    Description
    :
    ·
This is an original wood carving titled “Eagle Boy” by the award winning Native American artist George Beach, carved/sculpted in 1993! This sculpture has been well cared for over the years. It is 29 ½ inches high, 18 inches wide and 18 inches deep. The removable wood base is signed on the bottom “G Beach 93” and measures 3 ½ inches high, 9 inches wide and 7 inches deep. It also includes a Certificate of Authenticity card given to me by the art dealer when I purchased this on October 2, 1993. It pains me to sell this, but due to financial reasons, I must sell it and I will be happy knowing it will go to someone who also appreciates beautiful carvings by George Beach.
    About the Artist
    :
    ·
George Beach who is well known for his unique wood carvings, a member of the National Wood Carvers Association and a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. Unfortunately, I am extremely saddened to say that in March of 2000 when he was out collecting wood in Texas, George suffered a severe stroke, but made it back home to Oklahoma where he was cared for. I do know that he felt he would be unable to carve his sculptures due to the inability to control movement on his left side, but I don’t know if his condition improved or if he is still making carvings like this incredible Eagle Boy carving today. I hope he is alive, well and still able to carve his incredible sculptures.
