Description
This listing is not by a retail selling business. Although I specify "same business day" for shipping, since I am retired, I may be a few days later if off fishing or camping for a few days. When new, these two instruments cost was ,000 plus.
RPM1: This reference pressure monitor is one of DH Instrument's first offerings, but is as functional as their newer units. The RPM1 is a compact (6.4 x 15.4 x 15.9 cm) and rugged digital pressure gauge designed to offer state of the art performance in a simple, light weight package using a high quality oscillating quartz crystal pressure sensor. The unit includes an RS232C interface which is used for the connection to DHI's PPC1 pressure controller or as a stand-alone unit connected to a PC.
The sensor accuracy is +-0.01% F.S. with full internal temperature compensation from 0 to 50 degrees C. Absolute accuracy of +-0.02% F.S. with a one year recalibration cycle is guaranteed when used as recommended. This unit was last calibrated in 1992, and clibration service is still available.
When used with the PPC1 controller, abosolute range can be used for gauge measurement by zeroing (taring) with the atmospheric pressure applied.
This unit was recently tested perfect using commands over the RS232 interface. Includes an in-line power supply and RS232 cable.
PPC1: The PPC1-30 is a positive shut-off pressure controller with a GPIB interface for computer remote control. It has an RS232 port that is used for connection of the RPM1 reference pressure monitor. It's range is 0 to 30 psia/-14.3 to 15 psig. Note however, the RPM1 above is rated to 0 to 23 psia so a maximum pressure has to be programmed into the PPC1. Our use was for only a few psig for aircraft airspeed instruments. The combination of the PPC1 and RPM1 were used in characterizing airspeed and altitude sensors up until the business was closed (retired) in 2000 and they were doing their job well.
