    This 14 1/2" tall Eagle, or Kwahu, wood sculpture, made from traditional cottonwood tree root, is by Hopi/Laguna carver Mike Sakiestewa. Eagles are most commonly seen in kiva dances and represent hope for an increase in the number of eagles. They are highly revered in the Native culture and are treated with honors and gifts during dances.
