    Description

    This Serpentine frog really is smiling. He has small amber protruding eyes and great marbled green color. He weighs 11lb 15oz. He is 8" high x 5" across the bottom and 16" circumference on the bottom. All tribes in the Southwest U.S. make stone carvings, sacred ones are called fetishes. This frog is carrying a medicine bundle of amber, turquoise nuggets, dolomite, shell, and white stone. The use of six stones represent s six directions and all of this is tied on with sinew which is from muscle fiber and symbolizes strength. Feathers are very powerful medicine when added to fetishes. They are rarely added to rock carvings for the market. He has a beautiful adornment of colored feathers. The incised markings on the bottom are the artist's Alex Tsethlikai. No reserve.
