    Description

Native American folk artist Edith John's wood chicken.  Hand carved.  Hand painted.  Straw tail.  Wood base signed with a card from The Trading Post Collection numbered #45.  Whimsical and fun to look at.  This chicken is greenish in color with gold accents getting ready to go eat. With the base and straw tail the chicken stands approximately 11 inches tall and approximately 7 wide.
Edith John is the daughter of the late Woody Herbert who was known for his art Brahma bulls.  Edith started carving while helping her father.  Edith’s folk art chickens elicit happiness wherever they live.  Bold in  colors and patterns, that will brighten your Navajo folk art collection.
