    Thomas B. Maracle is a North American Mohawk, born in Belleville, Ontario in 1949. He is a citizen of the Six Nations Iroquois Confederacy and lives in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory near Deseronto, Ontario, Canada.
    Thomas has been involved in local art since childhood. He was deeply influenced by the skills of his artisan parents, who created handicrafts for their gift shop. They continue to shape his personal and professional life.
    Thomas has gained international recognition as a sculptor for his skill and loves the physical, mental and artistic challenges required to bring the ancient legends of his people to life in his sculptures.
    He has won many awards in Canada and the United States.
    His unique carvings are in high demand and are highly valued in collections across Canada and many other parts of the world, including England, France and Germany.
