Esther Suina, known as Bloomingflower, of Cochiti Pueblo. This
    highly prized artist created this
singing mother with 6 children in 1991.
The figure is 6 inches high and 4 inches wide. Finely detailed and beautifully rendered. Item #191
Many of the pueblos of New Mexico have a long tradition of clay figurines and effigy vessels. The first contemporary storyteller figure did not appear until 1964 when  Helen Cordero of Cochiti Pueblo created a signing mother figure with many children.
