Vintage 1940s Stetson Royal DeLuxe St. Regis Gray Fur Felt Homburg Fedora 6 7/8

For sale is a Vintage 1940s Stetson Royal DeLuxe St. Regis Gray Fur Felt Homburg Fedora 6 7/8.
This hat features a rich soft/pliable gray fur felt material, classic homburg hat styling (the Stetson St. Regis style), black grosgrain ribbon, gray grosgrain binding along the brim, reeded sweatband, leather sweatband with slight texturing/embossed effect, sliky liner with covered Royal DeLuxe Stetson Brand, and classic Stetson Keyhole size Tag (7/8 - Men's 6 7/8).
This hat has seen some wear over the course of its life, but it shows in weird ways. Oddly, the grosgrain of the ribbon and binding has wear/fraying in multiple places, and mild discoloration. There are some instances of discoloration of the felt, though it can be a bit obscure unless they are searched for in direct light. Oddly, I was unable to find serious instances of moth damage (holes, divots, etc.). If there are any, I didn't see them, and they are likely hidden. Seeing as the felt is in such good condition, thos hat may therefore make a good project for refurbishing, or to be re-used in the construction of a new hat (felt of this quality is near impossible to come across today, without going bespoke).

I have given this hat a firm brushing with a horsehair hat brush. It comes from a pet and smoke-free home.
