Vintage Fedora Saks Fifth Ave 7 1/4. I really like this hat. That said , the hat shows some wear from a former owner. The inner lining has worn patina and the felt shows signs of sweat around the ribbon and  in the crown pinch.The ribbon has a little fading  What I like about it is the authentic 1950's construction. It is well made and the proportions give it a great silhouette. I really like the lines. The felt is stiff and smooth. There is a 2 1/8" brim with a crafted or "Cav" edge and a 5" open crown. The opening is 8 1/16 by 6 3/8.
It was made for Saks on Fifth Ave but on the sweat band is stamped Leisure Flex patent 2632175, which some initial research shows was used by Dobbs in the early 50's so Dobbs it seems was the original maker of this hat.The hang tag is missing but underneath the lining is a neat little tag with MoonGlow written with a price of 15.00. The makers tag states 7 1/4. Moonglow was a popular song in the mid 50's famous for the dance scene with William Holden and Kim Novak in the 1955 Movie "Picnic" which is on Turner classic Movies in August. I'm thinking the hat was named to coincide with the songs popularity.  So aside from all that its a great hat with no other damage aside from the sweat staining mentioned
