Vintage Soapstone Carved Inupiat Puffin Bird Figure Art King Island NR WOW

Up for auction at NO RESERVE is this fine old vintage soapstone carved art figurine sculpture of a puffin bird. A very nice piece of Native American Inupiaq / Aseuluk Indian art signed by the artist and says it is from King Island, Alaska.
I can’t make out the artist name but this does seem like an older and rarer puffin bird. My guess is circa 1950s.
No cracks, no chips, and no losses but does have some light edge wear and minor surface scratches. Heavy piece weighing over 1 lb 3 oz.
Displays beautifully from all angles!
Measures 5.2” inches tall, 3.75” inches long and 2.4” inches wide (13.2 cm, 9.5 cm, 6.1 cm).
Would make a fantastic decorative piece for the home, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
